Love Handles Fat


“Love handles” is a really nice name for something that really isn't very nice at all. A handle that you use to hold someone you care about sounds great. Those “handles”, unfortunately, are little more than extra fat stores that keep a person's pants from fitting properly. In extreme cases, these handles bulge out, covering the top part of the person's pants. “Muffin top” is another name for this. If you have such handles or muffin tops, you should be glad to know that they are ways to get rid of them. You simply have to make up your mind that you've lived with your love handles long enough and are ready to lose some weight. Let's look at some ways to get rid of this excess fat.


Visit your local gym or health club regularly, and sign up for sessions with a trainer. You can, of course, learn exercise routines from an online video and follow along as best you can. However, these won't do for you what a trainer can. A trainer can help you see faster results by showing you the best way to do every exercise and for how long. Your morale and motivation are crucial when exercising, and a trainer can be very helpful in this area. It's simply too easy to make excuses not to exercise if all you have is a dvd or video. Missing an appointment with someone who will hold you accountable for your actions is difficult. Practice proper posture. Burn calories by standing straight and sitting up correctly all day. Calories are burned as you expend this energy. Sitting up straight can be a form of exercise if you aren't use to it. In addition to helping you burn calories, practicing proper posture can help reduce the appearance of the love handles that you are carrying around. Walking around with proper posture is even more of an exercise. Proper posture just looks better. Your love handles actually look bigger when you slouch.

The more you can stick to “low energy density” foods, the better off you will be.

These are the kind of foods that do your body the most good. If you are looking for examples of low energy density foods, think of fruits and vegetables. What makes these foods so good is that your body can make use of just about everything in them. You want to stay away from those foods that are high energy density, as these offer the body few benefits. Many of these foods can be considered junk foods, and are usually high in sugar, unhealthy carbohydrates and/or unhealthy fats. You don't want to give your body an excuse to store fat! Diminishing your love handles can be a simple fix. You can watch them disappear with just a few lifestyle changes. Of course, it will take time for this to happen so you will need to be patient while you work on your weight. Soon they will be a thing of the past though, with the proper diet and exercise plan. Just think about how good it will feel to fit into your pants correctly again!
